Yolo County Courthouse Renovation
Woodland, California

This project involved a complete exterior and interior renovation of the historic 1917 Yolo County Courthouse. Extensive field investigation and laboratory testing determined a number of modern requirements which were met without significant impact on the building appearance, including asbestos abatement, structural upgrade, and compliance with current regulations governing accessibility, fire and life safety, electrical and HVAC systems. The exterior granite cladding and terra cotta ornamentation were repaired, replaced or repointed; interior renovation of the judicial quarters included period lighting fixtures and gold leaf detailing.
